Basically the silencer prevents muzzle flash, reduces the noise the gun makes, but most importantly it prevents a red dot from appearing on the radar when you fire your weapon. There is a weakness though, with all weapons (apart from the UMP) you will 10HP less damage per bullet – which can mean it might take 4 bullets instead of 3 to kill someone.
Overall an excellent attachment – a must for Search and Destroy and any gametype with respawns which doesn’t have a kill cam.
