I tend to use stopping power on all my guns, unless the gun is powerful enough to kill in one shot, or if I use a different perk such as Cold Blooded. If you play with this enough you can unlock Stopping Power Pro, which gives you increased damage against vehicles.

I agree in mw2 and cod4 & cod5 a specially, stopping power is the “must have” perk for me. Works great with some snipers – taking only 1 shot to those who dont have an increase hp perk
I never use stopping power. What’s the point of having fast and weak guns and slow and powerful guns if you can easily make your SMG as strong as an LMG? It ruins the game.
