Modern Warfare 2 – New Features

Ok so I’ve been watching quite a few Modern Warfare 2 videos from gametrailers.com:

In these videos I’ve noticed quite a number things:

1. UAV’s can be jammed – I’m unsure if this will be a perk or a killstreak
2. You get a UAV after 3 kills, after 4 you get a “care drop” or something, at 5 you get a guided predator missile
3. You can have a silenced SPAS 12!
4. You can secure actual kill streak bonuses like guided predator missiles by getting to a drop box and using it for a number of seconds (like you are planting a bomb)
5. You can throw down care drop markers – once you throw it out a care drop will get dropped in, usually with a predator missile by the looks of it!
6. They have a new gametype called “demolition” which seems to be like search and destroy with more respawns and multiple bombs!
7. When you get shot the blood splatter covers a large portion of the screen and makes it hard to see properly – useful to know
8. It sounds like helicopters are making a return.
9. New perks include: Scavenger, Bling, Lightweight, Marathon, Cold-Blooded, Scrambler and Commando.
10. New weapons include: Famas, L86 LSW, UMP45 and riot shields
11. New gametypes include: Demolition and Capture the Flag.
12. It feels very similar to counter-strike – which I’m sure will help make it a winner, shame they didn’t manage to bring in $$$ into the game – I always used to love how the amount of money you had affected your tactics, especially as a team!
13. The maps are much bigger
14. There is something to do with a chicken – god knows what!
15. New maps include: Highrise
16. You can choose a call sign, title and eblem
17. There are more basic classes

A serious amount of improvements, I can’t believe it, but I think Modern Warfare 2 is going to be miles better than Modern Warfare one!!! The question is… will I draw myself from playing the game in order to eat enough to stay alive?
