The Care Package is a very cool killstreak bonus – it has many uses. Basically you can get it after 4 kills (or 3 with Hardline) – you have to equip it and throw it out, like you are throwing a grenade or a flashbang. Then it will create red smoke and a helicopter will fly in and drop a cargo package onto it. Steer clear! The first time I did this I was bouncing up and down over the red smoke, screaming with joy when it landed on my head and killed me!
Basically you will get a random killstreak bonus, or a re-arm/ammo crate. Very useful in Search and Destroy, as you tend not to rack up big killstreaks, so this is a good way of possibly getting an AC130. It also gives less skilled players the chance to ride as a chopper gunner or calling a stealth bomber.
Oh I forgot to warn you, both your teammates and enemy players can steal these, so make sure you find yourself a nice quiet spot out of view to call in your care package.
