Team Deathmatch Overview!

Team Deathmatch can be played with up to 18 players at a time in a team vs team battle. There are no objectives in this gametype, aside from acquiring more kills than the opposing team, just a straight up deathmatch. This mode is respawn based, simply meaning when you die there is no delay to respawn, as opposed to a round based respawn in Search & Destroy. The game is won by either one team reaching the required kills of 75 (7500 score), or if the time limit runs out of 10 minutes. It is slightly different for that of Groundwar, where the required kills is 100, as there can be 3 extra players on each team.

Choosing the right class
I have used many different classes over the last 4 prestiges, however, I feel the most useful to the average gamer would be the ACR with either the red dot sight or silencer, depending on the gamers preference. I believe the ACR is most suitable for this gametype, because of its high accuracy level and as it is a semi-automatic all purpose weapon.

I imagine that the average gamers accuracy would be around 15%, and therefore this weapon is perfect, in that it nearly has full accuracy and almost no recoil whatsoever. I personally would choose the red dot sight for this weapon over other attachments, because this seems to find an enemy easier than say the silencer, and I feel helps to shoot at a longer range.

Of course attachments aren’t vital in this game, and therefore, it all depends on what your comfortable with using.

Picking the perks
I believe for this particular class the most suitable perks would be either, scavanger pro or bling bro (with a red dot sight and silencer), either stopping power pro or lightweight pro, and either ninja pro or commando pro.

Scavanger & Bling
Both scavanger and bling are very effective in a team deathmatch situation, as with scavanger you will have 180 bullets for the ACR as opposed to only 60. This can be very important as without extra bullets you could be found using either a secondary weapon or having to look for a weapon on the floor, which could result in death.

Bling can also prove important in TDM, when using a silencer and a scoped attachment. This allows for a player to be unseen whilst shooting, and gives them the advantage of using a scope for long distance shots.

It is important to realise however, that continuous shooting with a silencer makes it easier for enemies to pinpoint your location, so i suggest firing single shots or short bursts whenever possible.

Stopping power & Lightweight
Stopping power would be very useful for this class because on paper the ACR has low damage, and the addition of this perk allows for increased damage, and therefore, a reduced amount of bullets needed to kill and enemy.

Lightweight on the otherhand, allows you to move as if your weapon and gear weigh nothing, making you run not only quicker but for longer bursts. This can be vital when running for cover or evading enemy fire. Also if you have the privilege of having lightweight pro, then this means you can recover your weapon quicker after sprinting, so increases your reaction time when incurring sudden enemy fire.

Commando & Ninja
Commando can be vital on close quartered maps, when faced with close combat. As you will know it allows for increased melee distance, and so if your found in a situation where an enemy is shooting at close range, it is likely whilst using this perk to stab at a further distance, and avoid dying yourself, whilst gaining a kill.

Commando pro can also be very useful, and is easy to acquire with the challenge being to get 20 melee kills whilst having the perk selected. Pro allows for no falling damage, and therefore, means a player can jump from any height without incurring damage. When used correctly this can gain many kills for a player, as you can attack enemies from higher ground, and it helps you move quicker round maps, such as, ‘favela’.

I would recommend only using ninja on a team deathmatch if you have completed the pro challenge, because it is unlikely you will find many players using heartbeat sensors on this gametype. With ninja pro however, your player has silent footsteps, which can be very useful in flanking enemies or sneaking up on them.

Secondary weapon
For a team deathmatch and in particular for the custom class I have suggested, there are two secondary weapons I would recommend using. However, this depends on the perks you choose to use.

If using lightweight I believe that using a silenced SPAS-12 would be very useful, as you can attack your enemies quickly using this perk, and kill with one bullet. I have suggested the SPAS-12 because of its high damage. The silencer is important too, because it allows you to again be unseen on the radar, and to sneak up on the enemy. Although this reduces range, using lightweight will compensate for this, as you can get to an opponent quicker.

If you feel that from the custom class you would use the bling perk, then an akimbo and silenced machine pistol would be perfect. The gun I would recommend is the PP2000, as it has little recoil and the sight is reasonably easy to use. The reason for suggesting the akimbo attachment is because it allows you to shoot more bullets at one time, and you can actually reload one of the pistols whilst shooting the other, which could be very important on close quarter maps.

Summary
Overall I believe that team deathmatch is the most suitable gametype for both new and experienced gamers. It is very easy to understand and therefore is more enjoyable. If you are new to MW2 then this is the gametype for you, as it allows you to get use to the maps more, and gives you protection as it is team orientated. It also helps if you can play with a party of friends, as this can increase your awareness of formations and certain tactics for maps, which can better your overall gaming.

The custom class i have recommended may seen a little general, but it gives you slightly more options when choosing. The ACR itself you will find very accurate and powerful if using stopping power. Remember only use ninja as your perk three if you have completed the pro challenge.

Tip: When using the akimbo attachment, your character crouches slightly lower than normal.
