The TAR-21 is a fuly automatic gun, it goes the same damage as the SCAR-H but it has 50% more bullets in the clip and so it has 50% more spare bullets aswell (as you get the same number of clips). So it is worth using over the SCAR-H – but if you want an assault rifle that is fully automatic and has a decent red dot sight, you are better off with the AK47.

The Scar H is a fully automatic assault rifle, unfortunately it only has 20 bullets per clip and you only get two extra clips – so you are likely to run out of ammunition with this one. It does around 40 damage per bullet (30 with a silencer) which reduces over a distance, so you need to hit your target with 3 bullets without stopping power and 2 bullets with stopping power. This might be a better gun if you also use extended mags, which will enable you to spray a bit more

The M4A1, along with the Famas, is unlocked from the beginning (when you can make a custom class at least). Basically it is a fully automatic assault rifle, but it only does 30 damage per bullet (20 with a silencer) which reduces over a distance. What this means is that without stopping power you need to hit your target with at least 4 body shots – although you will find it has a tight spread and can be useful for headshots. If you are using stopping power it should only take 3 shots.

The Famas fires a three burst round (like the M16) and it does 40 damage per bullet without a silencer, and 30 damage per bullet with – this damage degrades over time. Basically, without stopping power, if all 3 bullets hit you should kill your target. Certainly one of the better guns in the game.
