I thought I’d make a perks list so you have a central place to read about them all – I’ll be adding videos and icons for each later on, but for now it is simply just a bit of advice on how to use each one.

Last Stand Perk

The last stand perk is average at best, I never really used it in Call of Duty 4, it’s only use is perhaps on Hardcore or domination, and even then its use is limited – I rarely get killed by someone in last stand.

Once you upgrade to the Last Stand Perk though you can use equipment, which is extremely handy – you can place claymores whilst dead!!! Or perhaps continue your killstreak.

SitRep Perk

The SitRep perk is basically similar to bomb squad – it allows you to spot tactical insertions, claymores and C4. I personally don’t feel the need to use this, as you can usually spot most of these things.

The pro version allows you to hear enemy footsteps better – I’m not sure if this means louder of further away, but if it is just louder then why not turn up your sound instead?

Ninja Perk

This perk is definitely one of my favourites. Basically it prevents you from being visible on the heartbeat sensor – which trust me, you don’t want. And once you upgrade it to the pro version, you get dead silence – nobody can hear you coming, how great is that!!!

Definitely worth having in my opinion.

Danger Close Perk

I’ve not really used this yet, basically it increases explosive damage, then when you get the pro version it increases the killstreak damage.

Personally I’m not too fond of this one, but it may be useful if you have a lot of explosive weapons and killstreak bonuses selected.

Hardline Perk

Hardline basically lets you get a killstreak with one less kill, so if you have UAV selected you can get a UAV with a 2 killstreak. Personally I don’t like using this, it is fine for low kill streaks, but if you want to get high ones you will probably need stopping power or more ammo.

The Hardline Pro upgrade gives you the ability to get a deathstreak with one less death, which is handy cos you’ll probably die a lot more with this perk equipped
